Mental Wellbeing Programme

This eight week programme is designed to support people with Parkinson's and their supporters to learn about mindfulness, psychological therapies and practical techniques to support them in coping with anxiety, low mood, and to help them better manage these challenges.

The sessions have been designed by Mental Health professionals and are delivered in a relaxed and safe space.

Intended primarily for people with Parkinson's who are experiencing anxiety in their lives, family members/carers are very welcome to attend and take part.

Programme: Starting 30 January for 8 consecutive weeks, 10.30am to 12 noon.

  • The first four weeks of the programme focuses on: Introduction to the practice of Mindfulness
  • The last four weeks of the programme focuses on: Therapies and practical techniques for handling anxiety and low mood
  • The fourth session of each module takes the form of an informal "Chat Cafe" when participants can swap notes about their own experiences of anxiety in a friendly and relaxed environment.

There is no charge for the programme.

Please let us know if a partner/support will be joining the sessions.
