Make a Move (Dance Class)

This class is aimed at people with a neurological condition that affects their movement, including people living with Parkinson’s.

Drawing on my training and experience in Dance and Disability, Dance for Parkinson’s and Inclusive Dance Practice,

‘Make a Move’ are dance classes to lift your spirits, improve your mobility, strength, co-ordination and balance and make connections. There is scientific evidence to suggest that dancing to music is beneficial for people living with Parkinson’s as it helps to stimulate new neural pathways.

It’s fun, sociable, expressive, and an artistic alternative to traditional exercise. Dancing can be done seated, standing or a combination of both. Carers/friends/family can take part too. Loose fitting clothing is encouraged.

The hall is warm and welcoming and has a large car park.

Pay as you go, £6 to £8.
