Love to Move. Chair based exercises.
Love to Move is a fun, age-friendly seated movement programme created by the British Gymnastics Foundation.
It is specifically designed to get older people moving and functioning better and is incredibly beneficial for people
living with Parkinson's.
The session is entirely chair-based, meaning it is accessible for all mobility levels. We use specially designed coordination exercises often involving doing different movements with the left and right sides of the body at the same time which are fantastic for stimulating the brain, improving memory, and maintaining fine motor skills.
All of this is done to a fantastic soundtrack of upbeat, recognizable music, making it a joyful and uplifting experience.
You don't need any prior exercise experience or special clothing just wear something comfortable.
Partners, carers, and family members are warmly encouraged to join in. Many of our carers find the exercises just as fun and beneficial, and it is a wonderful activity to share together.
No booking is required. It will be a free class up to November 2026.
