Longer walks for people affected by Parkinson's

What: A return walk of 6.0 km through Endcliffe park to Forge Dam along accessible paths.

The pace allows for chatting so we can get to know one another. It takes about 2 hours for the walk as we have refreshments at the cafe.

Who leads the walk: Bhanu, a physiotherapist and Health Coach who has worked with people with Parkinson's for over 30 years.

In addition to knowing the advantages of walking for health and social benefits (yes, even on cold, rainy days with mud), Bhanu has also completed training in the use of walking poles, so please come with poles if you normally use these for walking.

When and where to meet: Tuesday 10 November 2026, 10am start at the Hunter's bar entrance to Endcliffe Park, Rustlings Road, Sheffield S11 7AB.

Dress appropriately for the weather and bring water and your tablets!

Cost: The cost is £5.00 per person or family unit (dogs free).

Contact: Bhanu Ramaswamy at [email protected] and she will get back to you. You will have to fill a simple health questionnaire before being accepted for these long group walks.
