Keepfit with Parkinson's, Blantyre
What is the activity?
Keepfit with Parkinson’s is an exercise class for people living with Parkinson’s. The class is for all abilities, as the exercises can be adjusted to the individual. There will be a combination of low and high intensity workouts. You will work on your balance, flexibility, strength, aerobic and coordination. The class has capacity for 10 people so the tutor can pay personal attention to all participants. Therefore are not able to offer spaces to partners/carers. The room is carpeted. People are recommended to bring water and wear comfortable shoes and clothing.
The instructor is an experienced instructor who runs fitness and boxing classes in her local community. She also runs a Keepfit class for people aged 50 and over for our charity.
Venue
The venue Blantyre Life is a new building that supports people who need intermediate care. The building is warm and accessible.. There is a large car park in front of the building.

Participants should register by calling 0141 641 5169, so they know who is coming. There will be a small fee of £3 for the class, to help
the class grow into a sustainable activity that can continue after the funding runs out.
