We are a local community interest company in Teesside with wellness at the heart of our mission.
We run ‘Keep Moving Teesside!’ Chair Based Yoga and Exercise classes across Teesside to help people improve their:
- Flexibility - Aerobic Fitness
- Balance - Mobility - Strength
Classes are really social, fun and have a sense of comradery. They are open to a wide range of people, including those with Parkinson's. Session leaders have completed introductory Parkinson's Awareness training and have experience of working with people with Parkinson's.
Exercises can be done seated, with chair support or standing and we use exercise bands and balls to help with improving mobility, flexibility and strength. You can watch a video showing you more about what Amala's classes are like and hear from participants here.
