Inverness - Nordic Walking

This is a supportive and sociable group for people living with Parkinson’s, meeting each week outside in a local park in Inverness.

There is a warm up before walking. And we do drills which help with coordination, memory, posture, strength and coordination through the session. It is fun, social and supportive.

Suitable for people with Parkinson's who are able to walk. Partners and carers are welcome to join in.

You will need a good pair of trainers, walking shoes, waterproof jacket and trousers, and a hat and thin gloves.

We meet at Torvaen Car Park, Inverness. Walking is on grass and tracks, sometimes along the canal. The ground is flat and can be undulating at times.

The session is led by a qualified British Nordic Walking Instructor and supported by a volunteer.

Please contact Karen to book on 07795 465 540 or [email protected]. There is a PAR-Q to complete before joining.

It is £8 per walk, and carers or family can go free.
