Hear.Me (Counselling Therapies)
Hear.Me is a project aimed at providing counselling therapies to everyone in families affected by Parkinson’s – the diagnosed person and their partners, children, or parents. Our sessions are tailored to you, and if you would like to know more about how HearMe works, please contact Penny Ayre at [email protected]
Whether you and your family are dealing with a new diagnosis, or the impact of the condition on your quality of life and relationships, HearMe may be able to help.
Expressing your feelings as much or as little as you want to a trained counsellor in a safe, supportive, and non-judgemental environment can be extremely beneficial. It can help you review your feelings in a positive way by clarifying the issues, exploring options, and developing strategies.
Parkinsons.Me will pay for an initial period of up to six counselling sessions. Following a review, this may be extended to a further six sessions. There will be no cost to you unless you decided to extend the counselling beyond twelve sessions and pay for these yourself.
These sessions can be delivered in person, online or over the phone.
