Gloves Up for Parkinson's Boxing, Glasgow

Gloves Up for Parkinson’s is a free, non contact boxing and fitness session designed specifically for people living with Parkinson’s. The session focuses on improving mobility, balance, coordination, strength, and overall well-being in a safe and supportive environment. Activities include boxing based movement, light fitness exercises, and structured drills, all delivered at a pace suitable for each individual. Sessions are suitable for all abilities and stages of Parkinson’s, and no previous boxing or fitness experience is required.

Participants are encouraged to work at their own pace and take breaks whenever needed. Each session is led by two qualified and experienced coaches who have completed Parkinson’s specific physical activity training. The session also includes time afterwards for social interaction, with teas and coffees available, helping to build confidence and community connection.

All equipment is provided, including boxing gloves, so participants only need to wear comfortable clothing and suitable footwear. Carers, partners, and family members are welcome to attend and support participants.

The venue is accessible and based within the Geoff Shaw Community Centre in Toryglen.
