Giving Voice Choir

Would you like to join a double award winning choir, sing, have fun and meet new people? Do you or someone you know have a neurological condition? If ‘yes’, come along and join us as we sing ‘songs from the decades’! All our songs are chosen by our members. Current songs include ‘These Boots are Made for Walking’, ‘House of the Rising Sun’, ‘Daydream Believer’ and many more.

The choir was started by Wendy Neill, Speech and Language Therapist, in 2014 and the singing is led by an experienced singing tutor, Sally Blyth. Evidence shows singing has a positive effect on health and wellbeing, specifically helping with posture, breathing, voice, memory, intonation and mood.

All abilities, no singing experience or ability to read music needed.

Booking is not required, but it is worth emailing / phoning / checking socials to check the choir has not been cancelled. We run every Wednesday except when Sally is on holiday, illness and/or adverse weather conditions

Voluntary contributions on the night - suggested donation of £3 per week.
