Gentle Seated Yoga

Gentle Seated Yoga Sessions suitable for all. There are opportunities to do everything sitting, and opportunities to stand and lie down for those who wish to. Everyone works at the level that is right for them.

The face to face class runs for 3 sessions of 8 weeks during the year. There is also the opportunity to work online at home. This group meets 45 weeks of the year.

The online group includes time to have an informal chat after the class for those who wish to. Both groups are subsidised by the MS Society.

Carers are welcome to attend the sessions alongside the person they care for. Alternatively, carers may wish to take some time for themselves and drop off/pick up the person they care for.

People attending the sessions are asked to make voluntary contributions towards the costs of the class. The guidelines are £5 for the face-to-face class, which helps with the hall fees & £2 or £3 for online attendance.

The hall we use for the face-to-face sessions is accessible with an entry ramp and accessible toilet facilities. Mats, blocks and blankets are provided at the hall.

Participants need to wear clothes that are easy to move in, with something warmer for relaxation. Participants may wish to bring a bottle of water with them.

There are free parking spaces around Lytham bowling green. People with Blue Badges can park on the street near the hall.

Both groups have an informal support WhatsApp group for those who wish to join it. To join the online group, an email address is required. Contact Deborah J Hopkinson ([email protected]) in order to receive the online link.

To join the face-to-face group, contact Deborah J Hopkinson (07960626836) in order to check if the class is running & to book your place.
