Exercise Class, Solihull
Every Tuesday morning the Solihull Branch puts on an exercise class designed for those who are less mobile, part of the session being chair based.
The Parkinson’s aware instructor delivers a structured session which contains specific stretches and moves which are achievable and enjoyable. You will only train to your ability at a speed which is comfortable for you.
The actual session commences at 11am and ends at 11.45am, and just as important, those attending the exercise session arrive a little while earlier for a chat and a biscuit.
Tea, coffee and biscuits are served from 10.30am until 11am, free to all who attend and their carers.
There is a wide range of ages, abilities and length of time people have been diagnosed with the condition.
The importance of social interaction for people with Parkinson’s cannot be physically measured but can clearly be seen in a person’s improved movement and confidence after just one session.
Free parking. £3 per person per session.
