Derby County Parkinson's Walking Football Sessions

Our sessions are led by Olivia, a qualified physiotherapist with a special interest in Parkinson’s, and Luke Wilkinson, Health Team Leader at Derby County Community Trust. They are supported by a team of dedicated volunteers passionate about helping people with Parkinson’s stay active and live well.

The sessions focus on mobility, balance, strength, cardiovascular fitness, and social inclusion. Each session includes a warm-up, football agility drills, and small-team games, followed by tea, coffee, and cake.

Key Information:
• Wear trainers and comfortable clothing for physical activity.
• Open to all—partners, carers, and family members are welcome.
• No participant limit; activities are adaptable to suit everyone.
• Players must be able to walk 10 m unaided, but we’re happy to discuss individual needs (e.g., use of walking aids).
• Onsite parking available—look for volunteers holding signs to guide you.
• No booking required, but we’d love to know if you’re joining us for the first time.
