Dance for Parkinson’s - Winchester

A new dance class for the Parkinson’s Community in Winchester with The Bryett School of Dance.

Penny Bryett (L.I.S.T.D) will be leading the class after completing specialised training with David Leventhal, founder of Dance for PD (Mark Morris Dance, Brooklyn) and Maria Portman.

Penny is an ex-professional dancer, trained at Laine Theatre Arts, who has been teaching dance for 27 years in the UK. She has her own established dance studios teaching children and adults in Hampshire, and is now delighted to be able to share this art form for the benefit of the Parkinson’s community. Following her completion course with Dance for PD in Barcelona this summer, she is thrilled to be participating in a more advanced course this September in Liege, Belgium.  The scientific proven benefits of dance for people with Parkinson’s are very encouraging.
