Dance for Parkinson's Scotland
The Dance for Parkinson's Scotland programme is a joint initiative managed by Dance Base, Scotland's National Centre for Dance and Scottish Ballet and delivered in partnership with Parkinson's UK.
Ten Dance for Parkinson's hubs have been set up across Scotland, which operate on a weekly basis and have been designed especially for those with a diagnosis of Parkinson's and their families and carers.
These sessions are suitable for those people with no dance experience and will develop a participant's confidence and creativity, whilst addressing Parkinson's specific concerns such as; balance, flexibility, coordination, gait and social isolation.
The sessions include tea/coffee, biscuits and a blether!
