Dance For Parkinson's - Moray
Wednesday 16 August – Wednesday 11 October (no class on 6 September or 4 October)
2.15pm – 3.15pm: Class
3.15pm – 3.45pm: Tea and a blether
Led by Ruth Kent, with Sharon Took-Zozaya, Ruby Worth, or Sarah DaBell, qualified instructors.
This is a welcoming class for anyone who is part of the Parkinson’s community, whether you have a diagnosis or are supporting someone living with Parkinson’s. No previous dance experience is necessary, but we love to incorporate your hobbies, interests and ideas into our dances.
The class will always start seated and finish with a tea break! The class is structured to warm the body gently and to encourage a sense of flow, helped by music we enjoy. We take time to learn new routines. And we build our skills together, supporting each other. We often laugh when things go wrong and encourage a sense of play. There are always options to work in different ways as best fits our own bodies and how we are feeling.
The first session is free, and then the cost is £5 per session, and carers attend for free.
