Dance On For Parkinson's

Dance On is a great way to get moving, keep fit and feel healthy in Doncaster. Whatever your ability, you can take part in a way that suits you, whether that’s seated, standing or a mix of the two. It’s not about learning traditional steps or putting together complicated routines. It’s about the simple joy of moving your body to great music in a safe, supportive space.

There’s no judgement, everyone’s included and we blend a wide range of music and dance styles to ensure the sessions have something for everyone!

The session is led by an experienced professional dance artist, is suitable for all abilities with permission to amend and adapt to suit your own needs and to follow the guidance of your health professional.

Content is focussed on improving all areas of physical health ie strength, balance, cardio and mobility, plus building connection with one another. Suitable footwear and clothing is required for safe and comfortable movement ie trainers or non-slip plimsoles and joggers or leggings. It is advisable to bring your own water bottle. Please don’t wear scarves or loose / large jewellery.

Carers / support / partners are very welcome and encouraged to come along and join in too.

The venue is accessible with parking on site. The venue is very large and numbers will only be restricted if the venue is up to capacity. Attendees will be admitted on a first come first serve basis.

The cost is £3 per person. Support workers and carers are free.
