Dance for Parkinson In Person & Online Class, Glasgow
This ‘hybrid’ class has the option to take part either in the studio or in the comfort of your own home. They improve balance, spatial awareness, confidence and fluidity of movement.
Led by a team of dance health specialists, each session lasts around 1 hour and 30 minutes and includes a variety of seated and standing movements.
As with all Scottish Ballet Health programmes, there is a social time before the class (from 12.30pm) to connect with others with lived experience of Parkinson’s, and to build friendships and a community of support.
Classes are £5.50 each if attending in-person, or £4.50 if only attending online, payable upfront for the block.
Please wear comfortable clothes and ensure your feet have grip, either with socks, bare feet, or indoor shoes.You don’t have to be present for the entire block of classes, and you’re not expected to attend every class.
Booking is essential. After booking, each week a link to the online class will be sent to you on the morning of your class. People who have booked the in-person classes are welcome to join online if they are unable to attend a session in the studio.
