Dance and Sing for Parkinson's
Julie Symmonds is a Certified Dance for PD ® teacher, having trained in New York with the founding director of Dance for PD ®, David Leventhal. Julie has been delivering these classes since 2015 and offers teacher training to teaching artists in Scotland under the Dance for PD ® licence.
Clare is a retired professional musician and will soon be completing the Sing to Beat for Parkinson's programme, this enabling the class to include voice and breathe work. Dance for Parkinson's is an internationally acclaimed programme that offers research backed classes for those living with Parkinson's - delivering a rich experience involving multiple senses.
Studies show that participants feel their mood lighten and their anxiety decline as well as a sense of improved health and wellbeing!
Please wear comfortable clothing and footwear, and bring a bottle of water.
Cost is £8 per session and spouse/carers go free!
