Chesterfield Support group

We welcome you to join us at St Johns Church Walton, Walton Back Lane, Walton, Chesterfield S42 7LT. We meet on the 3rd Friday of the month 2pm - 4pm.

We offer information, friendship and support to local people affected by Parkinson's, their families and carers.

We usually organise a speaker and a raffle, followed by time to chat over a cuppa and biscuits. There's no need to book, just come along and join us. Here is our programme for this year:

• Friday 17 May 2024 - “My mum had one of these” an entertaining talk!

• Friday 21 June 2024 - Visit to Renishaw Gardens - booking is required see contact details below

• Wednesday 17 July 2024 - Meal at Chesters - booking is required see contact details below. ** Please note there is no meeting at St John's Church this month.

• Friday 16 August 2024 - Social afternoon with tea and cakes. 

• Friday 20 September 2024 - Seated chair exercise. It is good to keep moving with Parkinson's! 

• Friday 18 October 2024 - Guide dogs for the blind 

• Friday 8 November 2024 - Meeting with Parkinson’s Nurse Christine Smith. 

• December - Christmas social, time, date and venue to be confirmed
