Chair Yoga (Bognor Regis)
These sessions include practices common to yoga classes - breathing exercises, meditation techniques, mindfulness practices as well as movement and postures.
The majority of the movements are done seated but there is some standing work using a chair for balance when needed.
The session starts and finishes with a meditation practice. This is followed by joint mobilisation and a warm up. Then we will be practising postures and short sequences.
The standing part of the session is mainly to help improve balance. It is a gentle form of exercise with adaptations made for movements which may be restricted.
People need to wear comfortable clothes. Any equipment such as straps and blocks are provided but people may bring their own.
The venue is next to a large free car park with a number of spaces for people with disabilities.
It is a drop in session so you only pay for the sessions you attend and no booking is required. The sessions cost £6 per person. Carers are welcome to attend for free.
