Chair Workout
This is a physio led session for those where balance, mobility and posture are becoming more challenging. It is a seated program that has been developed to enable the individual to engage in activity at their own level. The group is small so help can be given.
The class aims to promote and maintain flexibility, strength, coordination with low impact exercise and light to moderate aerobic activity and to encourage confidence and positivity in your well being.
The program concentrates on known principles that help manage both the physical and non-motor symptoms of Parkinson’s and other movement disorders.
Multidirectional movements, training your muscles to work together and prepare you for daily tasks that challenge us at home, at work or in sports.
Body awareness and coordination - graceful movements, performed in a slow, focused manner putting minimal stress on muscles and joints.
Stamina training, sustaining burst of activity of low intensity
There is also time for partners /carers to have a coffee and chat in our nice relaxing pod while the group takes place.
