Carers Conversation Cafe

We have been meeting in the peaceful surroundings of the Sunflower Centre at St Leonard's Hospice to chat informally about our experiences of caring for a loved one living with Parkinson's. 

The sessions take place at the same time as the Speech and Language Support Cafe, allowing us to safely leave our loved ones taking part in exercises if you wish to join both groups. 

Our discussions have been wide ranging, including navigating health and care services, accessing financial support, mobility aids and where to turn when things are tough. But most importantly, it's been about mutual support, friendship and encouragement.

We are well looked after by wellbeing volunteers from St Leonard's, and we are grateful to the team at the Hospice for supporting the group.
