Cambridge Branch monthly meeting

At our group meetings, we offer information, friendship and support to local people affected by Parkinson's, their families and carers.

We usually have a guest speaker presentation followed by a soup and sandwich lunch.

Here is the 2026 programme:

27 February: 10.30am to 12.30pm, Branch meeting. John Skidmore “Drug Discovery in Neurodegenerative Diseases”.

27 March: 10.30am to 12.30pm, Branch meeting. Annual General Meeting, plus a visit from our Parkinson’s Specialist Nurses.

24 April: 10.30am to 12.30pm, Branch meeting. As the Branch provides some funding for Research students and other professionals to attend conferences overseas, we have invited them along to tell us about their trips and what they discovered.

22 May: 10.30am to 12.30pm, Branch meeting. Presenter, Ruth Clarke, director of the Museum Encounters programme of Dance for Parkinson’s.

26 June: 10.30am to 12.30pm, TBC: Branch meeting dedicated to 2nd year medical student attendees.

28 August: 10.30am to 12.30pm, Branch meeting. Speaker Roger Barker, Professor in Clinical Neurosciences at the University of Cambridge, neurologist, stem cell researcher, and Branch Honorary President!

25 September: 10.30am to 12.30pm, Branch Meeting. Speaker Andrew Phillips, U3A course tutor: “Inventions That Shaped the Modern World: the Bicycle”.

23 October: 10.30am to 12.30pm, Branch Meeting. A visit from our Parkinson’s Specialist Nurses. NB an early 4th Friday.
