Boxing and Martial Arts based exercise
Our approach is based on the Rock Steady Boxing curriculum, which we combine with Taekwondo-based floorwork elements and neuro-rehabilitation techniques to cater for a wide range of abilities and needs – hence the name Parkinson’s Ninja.
The sessions are high-energy and fun, held at a well-equipped martial arts academy with appropriate flooring that is soft and safe.
All you initially need is comfortable clothes and water - we provide boxing gloves if you need them, although we recommend that you buy your own if you like the sessions and decide to attend regularly.
Partners/carers are more than welcome to come along, either as helpers in the class, or just for a cuppa and a chat.
Please call or message before your first visit, so we can plan ahead and assign someone to assist you during your first class.
£10 Pay as you go on Saturdays from 1:15 – 2:15 pm – Mixed ability class.
We also offer free classes to people with Parkinson's on Tuesdays and Thursdays. These classes are sponsored by community fundraising and grants, making exercise accessible to all.
