Bovey Parkey Plus Singing Group
A relaxed singing group and social space for people living with Parkinson's, their family and friends fortnightly on Fridays, 2pm to 3.30pm in Bovey Tracey.
Who can attend? People living with Parkinson's, their families and friends. No singing ability or experience is required!
Why do we sing? Parkinson's can cause issues with issues with vocal strength, vocal volume, articulation, swallow, breath control, cognition and facial expression. Singing can help improve all of these.
What is involved? The sessions are very relaxed. We start with a warm up and vocal exercises, then sing some rounds and free choice songs. We then have a refreshment break before continuing with free choice singing.
Cost: Suggested donation £2 per session
