Belfast Danderball - Walking Football (Thursdays)

Walking football ('Danderball') is a variant of association football that seeks to keep people aged 50+ actively involved in playing the game rather than spectating.

We run a 1 hour session per week per site, led by Johnny, who holds a current UEFA A licence coaching qualification. The session involves association football but participants must walk and not run when playing.

Danderball focuses on all elements of physical fitness as well as social and mental wellbeing, suitable for any ability – the walking stipulation makes it a more level playing field. Our oldest participant is currently 84!

Comfortable clothing, trainers, and a water bottle are advised.

New participants are required to fill in a participation form on their first day.
