Active with Parkinson's Cambs PD Challenger - Shelford

Active with Parkinson's Cambs (AWPC) is the group to join if you're looking for a variety of Parkinson's Disease (PD)-specific exercise classes delivered in a welcoming, fun, caring and supportive environment.

PD Challenger exercises are believed to be more effective than walking, going to the gym or swimming. Devised from our instructor Paul Goddard's extensive experience as a neurological rehabilitation therapist, it's a tailored exercise programme which works on mind and body coordination. It can help improve the symptoms of Parkinson's.

Tuesdays and Wednesdays

  • 1pm to 2pm (PD Challenger 1, lower intensity)
  • 2.15pm to 3.15pm (PD Challenger 2, higher intensity, aimed at people recently diagnosed or in the early stages of Parkinson's)

Attendees should wear comfortable clothing.

The cost is £35/month per activity, payable by Standing Order or £11.75 on a Pay As You Go basis.
