60s Soul and R&B Night

It’s that time of year again to put on your dancing shoes for a night of floor filling 60’s soul and R&B. We are pleased to host the annual Cheltenham Club event, that has been running since 2017. The Cheltenham Club was Harrogate’s first R&B and Soul Club and ran between 1967 and 1969. It attracted soul fans and MODS alike from across the county.

This event is designed to replicate the music and atmosphere of the original venue with original Cheltenham Club member and warm up DJ Michael Lowcock, plus Ian Smith, resident DJ at Harrogate Northern Soul Club. All tunes will be played on the original vinyl releases of the day. This is not a typical northern soul night, with the emphasis on Motown, Stax, 60’s R&B plus a slice of British beat and ska for good measure.

All proceeds after the Ripley concessionary hall charge will go to the Harrogate Branch of Parkinson's UK to help local people living with Parkinson's.

Entrance is £10, including booking fee and advance booking is highly recommended. Book your tickets here!
