Horsham and District Branch

Our group offers friendship and support locally to people with Parkinson’s, their families and carers, contact us to find out more.

For information and advice on Parkinson's, or for emotional support, call the Parkinson's UK helpline on 0808 800 0303

The branch runs a number of popular activities 4 days a week almost every week of the year.

We know that keeping moving is essential in Parkinson’s to slow down the progression, and enable everyone to enjoy the best quality of life so these include: pilates, physiotherapy, table tennis and Argentine tango. We also offer speech therapy, choir and social gatherings.

Details and timings for these activities are listed.  If you’re nervous or unsure whether these activities are right for you, please ring for a chat with one of our volunteers Carol Matthews (01403 263882), Liz Roberts (01403 217263) [email protected], or Paul Dodd (01403 266173).

The branch has a team of friendly volunteers but we’re always grateful for others who’d like to help out. Right now we’re keen to find someone who will help organise refreshments at our monthly gatherings.

We also fundraise to help run local activities, contribute towards research, Parkinson’s nurses and other services. Get in touch if you’d like to help.

Local group meetings are regular get togethers where you'll be able to meet other people affected by Parkinson's. Here you'll find mutual support where you can chat, socialise and relax, often with a cup of tea or slice of cake in hand. Lots of local groups also offer a range of other activities including chances to get active, scroll down this page to see what other opportunities this group offers.
