Guildford and South Surrey Branch

Our branch has over 350 members. They are mainly people who have Parkinson's, but our membership also includes carers, families, and friends. We keep in touch by post, email, and our website: www.guildfordparkinsons.org.uk. Members can take part in numerous activities, from exercise, dance, singing and speech maintenance classes, to outings, fundraising events, meetings and social gatherings. To become a member, please complete the online form on the branch membership page of our website.

Every third Wednesday of each month we meet at the Squirrel Inn, Godalming, from 7.00 pm. Most members order something to eat as there is a varied menu from which to order a meal or a dessert and coffee. Formerly called the Working Age Group (WAG) this group is now known as the Friendship Group. Anyone is welcome to attend this informal get-together. For more details visit https://www.guildfordparkinsons.org.uk/social-activities/wednesday-evening-social-meetings/

Our monthly branch social meetings are an informal get-together. Afternoon social meetings, often with a guest speaker, are held on the last Tuesday of each month and all branch members, their partners, carers or family members are welcome to attend. Local group meetings are regular get togethers where you'll be able to meet other people affected by Parkinson's. Here you'll find mutual support where you can chat, socialise and relax, often with a cup of tea or slice of cake in hand. Lots of local groups also offer a range of other activities including chances to get active, scroll down this page to see what other opportunities this group offers.
